Our mentors and teachers are trained to know the physical and behavioral signs of abuse and what to do if you suspect a child is at risk.
In our programs, we have a fun and gratifying job as someone working with children. Our mentors’ and teachers’ role is to ensure that children get the best possible start in life by providing them with stimulating activities, reassurance, and stability. However, it is also our responsibility to protect them from harm.

Under national standards, one must be aware of possible signs and symptoms of child abuse and know how to report any concerns. Mentors and teachers must know our policies and procedures and respect confidentiality. Thankfully, child abuse is not common, but it must be understood that it does happen.
